Need a little spark of inspiration?
I met Lucie at an outdoor café in the Loire Region of France several years ago. At the time she was in her early 70s, though she looked much younger.
Over the course of our conversation (and several glasses of wine), she shared with me her one deepest regret in life, which was that she had never been able to summon the courage to really go for her dreams. You see, she had studied fashion design as a younger woman, and while everyone around her at the time told her she had exceptional talent, she had let self-doubt and the fear of failure hold her back from sharing her gifts with the world.
As we continued to talk, I could sense Lucie had an important message for me. Finally, she set down her glass, looked at me with the most earnest gaze, and said,
“I have wasted my life feeling afraid of nothing – rien !!
